Tasks

Basic
Level
Present a portfolio
which consists of the following:
A
scheme of work consists of a slide show, Web materials to
be downloaded from the Internet as reference link, and the use of at least
one
readily available educational courseware;
A
review
on the process of using IT in education (including the rationale for using
IT in teaching and the evaluation of the effectiveness of IT after using
in their duties);
E-mailthe
portfolio to the principal or to notify the principal via e-mail that the
portfolio is ready with the scheme of work as an attachment; and
A
self-assessment
form completed by the teachers.

Intermediate
Level
Present a portfolio
which consists of the following:
A
scheme of work comprising a slide show with a simple video segment
and Web materials to be transferred to a Web site; and some freehand
drawing using any graphics package;
Outline
of the merits and shortcomings of a courseware;
A
review on the process of using IT in education (including the rationale
for applying what and how to apply IT in teaching and learning as well
as the evaluation of the effectiveness of IT after using in their duties);
A
self-assessment
form completed by the teachers;
A
few Web pages designed by the teacher, these pages should be interlinked
and contain some graphics;
Evidence
that the teacher has joined/participated in some discussion groups
on the internet
The
downloading of at least two files from a remote FTP site; and
A
simple database and/or spreadsheet which contains the information
of participants students (Optional, depending whether a teacher has taken
the module).
N.B. if a teacher has taken the Chinese Character
Input module, then at least one of the artefacts above is to demonstrate
his/her knowledge of Chinese Character input. |

Upper
Intermediate Level
Present a portfolio
which consists of the following:
A
scheme of work that needs multimedia learning and/or teaching materials
developed by an authoring tool such as Authorware, FrontPage;
A
review
on the process of using IT in education (including description on the possible
changes about the teacher's personal teaching philosophy or the possible
changes in the teacher's own teaching subject due to application of IT;
A
few Web pages that illustrate the features learned at this level. They
could be Web pages for the students or contain interactive learning materials;
and
A
learning
package consisting of a database or spreadsheet or an
integrated software which could be used in the classroom. Or
Give
an outline of using IT in project work/learning

Level
