Twenty of our dancers were chosen as representatives to the International Music and Dance Festival in Cantonigros in Spain. The Consul General himself came to Sacred Heart to brief these students about Spain before they set off. They saw cultural standards far beyond their imagination, of course! After the week in Cantonigros and Barcelona, this group visited Germany and Italy. Rome was impressive, they said, but Verona, the home town of our foundress, St. Magdalen of Canossa, was even more impressive. In the headquarters of the Canossian Order, teenage Sacred Heartists were overwhelmingly awed and inspired by the loving and caring atmosphere in the mother house. This tour was arranged with the help of some past chairmen of the Alumnae Association and generously sponsored by the Soong Qing Ling Children Education Foundation. The accompanying teacher was Mrs Too Luk Yun Mee -- who else!
