Cyber Ambassador
Awards
Alice Chan Sin Hang and Carmen Lau Fong Ting, currently studying in 7C, were
First Runners-up in the Cyber Ambassador Awards Project Proposal Competition
(Secondary School Section).
They worked on a project proposal to promote positive and effective use of the
Internet, while stressing the importance of online safety, privacy and copyright
regulations.
Alice and Carmen will receive a subsidy of $30,000 to realize their project.
The Prize Presentation Ceremony took place on 10 August 2002 at the Hong Kong
Convention and Exhibition Centre where Alice and Carmen received commendation
for their efforts in promoting safe surfing.

What are the Cyber Ambassador Awards?
The Cyber Ambassador Awards, which is jointly organized by the Television and
Entertainment Licensing Authority, the Hong Kong Federation and Youth Groups
and the Education Department, aims to promote safety and smart usage of the
Internet among young people, to encourage them to use the Internet to its fullest
capabilities and to help young people realize their creativity in the cyber
world.
