F7 Thanksgiving Mass and Programme Featured

Rev. Dominic Chan, the Celebrant of this year’s F7 Thanksgiving Mass, expounded on the significance of doing what we have heard using Luke 6: 43-49.  The parable of Jesus shed light on a wise man who builds a house that went deep and put its base on a rock. Despite the storm, the house was not moved.

In response to the message, F7 graduates offered at the altar Noah and his ark.  The wooden ship built by Noah eventually saved his family and a male and female of every type of animal when the world was covered by a flood.  The gift is a grateful expression of everything the school has done to nurture them.

Followed the Mass came the extraordinary programme on what impressed them the last seven years: The hectic morning, the packed schedule during lunch and after school, the fun and nuisance of projects, to name but a few.

Sr Veronica came up with a heart-shaped light as a keepsake for the school leavers. The light reminds them that Jesus is the Sacred Heart, the Emmanuel, the everlasting love, the beacon of our life.

No man, when the light is lighted, puts a cover over it, or puts it under a bed, but he puts it on its table, so that those who come in may see the light. Luke 8:16
